How to.

Step 2. Cut tiles to size. You might find that tiles at the edges of your walls and floors need to be cut. Use a measuring tape to work out the size that needs to be cut. Then, it’s time to cut the tiles to size. Make sure to use safety equipment before cutting tiles.

Step 3. Now, it’s time to apply tiles to the walls and floors. Apply tile adhesive in small amounts with your trowel and place your tiles in the correct place. Place tile spacers between each tile to make sure all tiles are spaced equally.

Step 4. Let your tiles sit for at least 24 hours. Then, it’s time to grout. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to prepare your grout. Remove the tile spacers. Next, apply grout in the spaces in between the tiles. Use a grout float to ensure this is done properly. Clean any excess grout and then leave it to dry.

Chris’ quote was fair and reasonable. He came highly recommended and informed us from day 1 that we would be booking approx 3 months out. We took time talking out possible options to correct some water damage in our basement shower and ultimately decided to go with updating the plumbing and tile while leaving the bathtub. The drop ceiling was removed, as was all water damage in the shower. Everything was taken back to the studs and made sure there were no other water issues before they rebuilt the shower with wide panels and new tile.

They also addressed venting issues, as the shower fan was located in the furnace room and was ultimately ineffective. They were quick and respectful while in the home, completing the job over a weekend. We would highly recommend, and will get them back in to do some work in our upstairs bathroom once they can fit us into their busy schedule. Definitely worth the wait.

We had the ensuite bathroom renovated by CJI Tile and Stone and were so impressed with the quality of the work and Chris’ helpful suggestions that we decided to give him the additional job of renovating our main bathroom as well. We supplied the main pieces of the work, i.e. bath vanity and shower and tile for the floor and the shower stall and Chris did the job and coordinated other trades to complete the job. Chris was amenable to this approach, but would have also provided the material as well. Chris made many helpful design suggestions during the course of the work and we accepted most of them. Additions to the work and deletions were carefully explained and adjustments to the bill made accordingly.
