BluePrint Cabinets was founded in Fredericton, NB, by Patrick Belding and Lewis Vandervalk after both of them repeatedly saw the same problems in the kitchen cabinet industry: overpriced cabinets built with cheap materials, poor communication, long delays, and homeowners being sold products that looked good in a showroom but failed to hold up in real-world use.
Patrick had previously owned and operated another kitchen cabinet company, where he spent years working directly in cabinetry, kitchen design, installation, manufacturing, and renovation projects. He saw how overwhelming the renovation process could be for homeowners who didn’t know what questions to ask or how to properly compare cabinet quality.
Lewis Vandervalk came from the business and marketing world, having built and operated a successful digital marketing agency serving companies across North America. Through years of helping businesses grow, Lewis became obsessed with customer experience, branding, communication, operational systems,
and building companies that people genuinely trust.
